DataRowExtensions Group
The DataRowExtensions group contains extension methods that operate on IDataRow.
These helpers make it easier to create rows based on column metadata, enumerate values, copy values from POCO
objects, convert between IDataRow and POCO objects/interfaces, and merge refreshed row data into an
existing row using a configurable merge strategy.
IDataRow instances that are consistent with a given schema
(column metadata).
IColumnMetadata, initializing fields to null
or to metadata-based default values.
ToPoco) or to a live interface proxy (AsInterface).
IMergeOptions.
AsInterface returns a live proxy. Property reads / writes are forwarded to the underlying row.
ToPoco returns a detached object. Changes to the returned POCO are not propagated back to the row.
UpdateDataFieldValue is obsolete. Prefer using the row indexer directly
(for example: dataRow["Name"] = "HR";).
Use DataRowExtensions whenever you need to treat IDataRow as a lightweight,
schema-driven record that can still map naturally to strongly typed objects. These extensions are especially
useful in dynamic UI scenarios and in mapping layers between DataSet-based processing and domain-specific
models.
