AddObservableTable Method

Overview

Adds a POCO IDataTable to the observable data set by wrapping it into an IObservableDataTable. Use this when business logic produces POCO tables and the UI layer needs change notifications.

Declaration

/// <summary>
/// Adds observable table
/// IObservableDataSet interface implementation
/// </summary>
/// <param name="dataTable">Data table for addition</param>
/// <returns>Added observable data table</returns>
public IObservableDataTable AddObservableTable(IDataTable dataTable)

Usage Example

// 1. Create observable dataset
IObservableDataSet observableDataSet = new ObservableDataSet();

// 2) Create Department data table
IDataTable departmentDataTable = new DataTable();
departmentDataTable.TableName = "Department";

// Call AddObservableTable method to add Department table to observable dataset and get an IObservableDataTable in return
IObservableDataTable department = observableDataSet.AddObservableTable(pocoTable);
