DataRowState Enum

Overview

The DataRowState enumeration describes the lifecycle state of an IDataRow instance in the POCO DataSet model. It indicates how a row relates to its parent table and whether its values have changed since the last acceptance of changes.

Members

• Added – The row has been added to an IDataTable and has not yet been accepted or persisted.
• Deleted – The row is marked as deleted but is still part of its table until changes are accepted.
• Detached – The row is not currently associated with any IDataTable.
• Modified – The row exists in a table and one or more field values differ from their original values.
• Unchanged – The row exists in a table and has no modifications relative to its original state.

Notes

• Row state transitions are controlled by operations such as value updates, AcceptChanges, RejectChanges, and delete/remove operations.
• A row marked as Deleted remains accessible until changes are accepted at the table or dataset level.
• Detached rows typically represent newly created rows that have not yet been added to a table, or rows that were removed from a table.
