DataSetFactory Class

Overview

The DataSetFactory class provides a single, convenient entry point for creating a new IDataSet instance. It lives in PocoDataSet.Extensions and returns the default concrete implementation, PocoDataSet.Data.DataSet, while exposing it as the interface type IDataSet.

This factory keeps application code (and consuming libraries) decoupled from the concrete data model type. If the default DataSet implementation ever changes, the rest of the code can continue calling DataSetFactory.CreateDataSet().

Namespace and Assembly

Namespace: PocoDataSet.Extensions
Assembly: PocoDataSet.Extensions.dll

Declaration

public static class DataSetFactory
{
    public static IDataSet CreateDataSet();
}

Methods

CreateDataSet()

Creates and returns a new empty IDataSet instance.

Usage Examples

// 1) Create an empty data set

// 2) Add tables / schema after creation (example)
IDataSet dataSet = DataSetFactory.CreateDataSet();
// dataSet.Tables.Add(...);
