AddRow Method

Overview

Adds a row to the table.

If the row is Detached, the method sets it to Added to enable change tracking for insert operations.

Declaration

public void AddRow(IDataRow dataRow)

Parameters

• dataRow (IDataRow) - The row to add.

Exceptions

• InvalidOperationException - Thrown if dataRow is in Deleted state.

Behavior

• If dataRow is null, the method returns without changes.
• Ensures the row contains every column defined in Columns; missing values are initialized to null.
• If the row state is Detached, the method sets it to Added.
• If the row is a PocoDataSet.Data.DataRow, it is marked as not loaded and receives primary key columns.
• Adds the row to the internal list.

Usage Example

IDataRow newRow = new DataRow();
newRow["Name"] = "Marketing";

table.AddRow(newRow);
