Clone Method

Overview

Creates a copy of the column metadata. This is useful when you want to add similar columns to multiple tables or when you want to create a new column based on an existing one with some modifications. The cloned metadata will have the same property values as the original, but it will be a separate instance.

Namespace: PocoDataSet.Data
Assembly: PocoDataSet.Data.dll

Declaration

/// <returns>Cloned column metadata</returns>

Usage Example

// 1. Create Id primary key column
IColumnMetadata idColumnMetadata = new ColumnMetadata();
idColumnMetadata.ColumnName = "Id";
idColumnMetadata.DataType = DataTypeNames.INT32;
idColumnMetadata.IsPrimaryKey = true;
idColumnMetadata.IsNullable = false;

// Clone Id column metadata
IColumnMetadata clonedIdColumnMetadata = idColumnMetadata.Clone();
